The 7th Congress of Delegates of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association, term 2022-2027
On the afternoon of December 13, the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA) organized the 7th congress for the 2022–2027 term. This is an important event for the city's business community after a term with many efforts, according to the motto "For the legitimate interests of enterprises; for the interests of the country; for international prestige; for society and the community" with the slogan "Solidarity; Innovation; Cooperation; Development."
Attending the congress were 400 official delegates, guests who were leaders of the City Party Committee, representatives of departments, branches, business associations of some provinces, etc.
At the meeting, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai thanked the city leaders for the contribution of the business community and HUBA to the development of the city, not only in terms of the economy but also in terms of orientations, mechanisms, and policies.
The chairman of the City People's Committee, Phan Van Mai, expects the business community and associations to be active with the city. Ho Chi Minh City transforms towards a green and digital economy so that by 2030, the city will be the "leader" of the whole country in terms of digital economy, green economy, sustainable development, increasing per capita income, etc.Commenting on the difficulties in the market, cash flow, and economic decline that are affecting businesses, Mr. Mai said that businesses need to sit down with the city and departments and agencies to also discuss solutions to overcome difficulties.

“The government listens together to minimize negative impacts and soon overcome difficulties in recovery. I suggest implementing a dialogue program between businesses and the city government quarterly or monthly to further improve the effectiveness of policy consultation; learn and implement ESG sustainable development programs," said th Chairman of the City People's Committee. confirmed by Ho Chi Minh.
HUBA is a large business association in the country with 75 associations and member business clubs with over 16,000 members. The association has made many contributions to the development of the city's business community. Ho Chi Minh City has many programs to support and connect businesses, especially to contribute a strong voice to solve difficulties for businesses.
The Congress elected Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association, for the term 2022–2027. Mr. Hoa is also Chairman of the Members' Council of the Ho Chi Minh City State Financial Investment Corporation (HFIC).
The new HUBA President said that in the new term, the association will continue to carry out eight groups of business support tasks. In particular, it will propose solutions to help enterprises develop sustainably, especially small and medium enterprises, and limit the situation of dissolution and bankruptcy of enterprises, especially newly established enterprises, due to unprepared skills, capacity, and resources.

The Congress also elected a new 76-member Executive Committee. In particular, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dao, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Advertising Association and General Director of Dong Nam Advertising and Trade Promotion Joint Stock Company, was re-elected as a member of the Executive Committee and elected as Head of the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association. Also at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dao was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister for his achievements in building and developing HUBA and social charity work from 2016 to 2020, contributing to building socialism and protecting the Fatherland, and a Certificate of Merit from the City People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for successfully completing the tasks of Term VI (Period 2016–2021).
